104.5 The Block

Entercom Upstate, which launched 96.3 The Block last October, is
expanding its coverage to Spartanburg and can now also be heard
on 104.5 FM. The Block features Steve Harvey in the Morning and
plays the best Hip Hop and R&B. In addition to its weekday features,
which include a late-night radio show promoting local artists, The
Block also hosts a soulful Sunday show, Gospel on The Block with
Duane Neal from 7am to 2pm.

“96.3 The Block has been a huge success in Greenville. In six
months, it’s already a leader with Black listeners in Greenville County
and in many of the demographics and dayparts sought after by
advertisers,” said Steve Sinicropi, Entercom Vice-President & General
Manager.

“For over 15 years there were only two radio stations serving the
African American market in Greenville. When we launched 96.3 The
Block as a third choice it quickly became a favorite with Greenville
listeners. In addition to serving our listeners, our favorable pricing has
made radio affordable again for small businesses, many of whom
have been priced out of the market for years. Our top request from
listeners and advertisers has been to expand service into
Spartanburg and now the simulcast on 104.5 FM delivers 96.3 The
Block to Spartanburg listeners and advertisers.”

96.3 The Block, now also heard on 104.5 FM in Spartanburg, also
streams live at www.963theblock.com. The Block is anchored by The
Steve Harvey Morning Show, which runs Monday through Saturday
from 6am to 10am.

Additional features include What’s Happening on The Block, which
serves as a forum on community issues, The Breakfast Club, Gospel
on The Block, and The Unsigned Grind—the only program that airs
music by local artists.

“Spartanburg has been waiting a long time for a radio station like this!
Thanks for bringing real music to Spartanburg!” – Happy listener of
96.3 The Block now also heard on 104.5 FM in Spartanburg.
